Introduction

I discovered Shel in May 2013 just after I stumbled upon excellent Eva Holbrook Youtube Video, Tuscany. I was really impressed by Eva, and her creative use of the mandolin in Tuscany, so I started looking around for more videos and I found out that Eva and her three sisters, all accomplished musicians had formed a band called SHEL. I was really happy to see a girls group with such a fresh sound using the mandolin in many creative ways! I loved it.

Here is a video play-list from Shel, where the mandolin is at the center of the music!

Mandolin used by Shel

Eva Holbrook Mandolin

Eva Holbrook, the mandolinist in the group, seems to use various mandolins in the performances. Eva plays both acoustic and electric mandolin, and is a featured Weber artist (see external links below). She often uses a Vintage A Weber mandolin that produces a lovely sound.
