Chen YaHui is the General director of the Taipei Mandolin Ensemble.

Chen is currently also a lecturer of mandolin at the Taipei National University of the Arts.

Details

Chen graduated from the National Taiwan College of Arts National Music Division, Department of Chinese Music Culture University, Institute of Arts, the first to obtain a Liuqin master’s degree thesis .

She is often invited to perform overseas, as she enjoys deep acclaim. Chen is famous for her delicate, refined Liuqin skills and her outstanding performance, but she has also many fans in the Taiwan mandolin circles, and she is currently working on the development of mandolin music art.

She has been in Japan in 2007 to learn the mandolin, with Mr. Aoyama and she repeatedly went to Europe to participate in mandolin master classes with Ralf Leenen, Ugo Orandi, Carlo Aonzo, Fabio Galluci , as well as the mandolin virtuoso Caterina Lichtenberg.

She is now mandolin music lecturer at Taipei National University, Arts Department as well as Liquin lecturer at National Taiwan University of Arts. Cultural University Extension Jiaoyu Bu, CTCI company mandolin lecturer. Former National Institute of Music in Normal Mandolin special class instructor, lecturer mandolin music department Chien University, National Taiwan University Department of Agronomy mandolin lecturer.

In December 2009 she published with Tung Huan Chang the “Naples Blue Night” guitar and mandolin album, that won the 21st Golden Melody Awards Best Pop Instrumental Album, Best Composer, Best Producer and other three nominations.
