Here is happened in theMandolinTuner during the last week of November. Exciting performances were added in the video library, some of them not the usual music you would expect!

Caterina Lichtenberg and Mike Marshal J S Bach Oboe Violin Concerto BWV1060 Dm 1st Movement Carmel

Whenever I hear a new performance of Bach music on mandolins, I feel so excited. Bach is probably the biggest composer of all time, so when performed with my beloved instrument I feel it lets Bach's music flow like water in a river! Lovely performance and I love the beautiful smile of Caterina at the end of the performance. What a joy!

If you liked the 1st Movement of BWV1060, don't miss this one. I love the baroque mandolin used by Caterina, but also Mike Marshal's 1924 Gibson is not bad :-)

Caterina Lichtenberg and Mike Marshall - Bach Gigue in Dminor

If there is one Bach performance you should hear, maybe this one would be the recommended one! Caterina's playing is effortless, and Mike's solos on Mandocello are just amazing. This duet rocks! (or baroques!)

Daniel Nestlerode & Bronco Hutchings - 06 Virginia Claire

Another song from Daniel Nestlerode that shows the nice combination of cello with mandolin. It is a nice song too!

Daniel Nestlerode Daniel is a very nice guy, with a beautiful voice, composing and singing together with his beloved instrument, the mandolin. Daniel is also an educator with 15 years experience. He has taught History at the university level, conducted trainings of computer systems, and taught both mandolin, ukulele, and beginning guitar.
