Hi reader

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Did you miss it? It's been a month since the previous newsletter, but theMandolinTuner latest newsletter is finally here! I guess you have already noticed the change in the newsletter email title, but if you haven't here it is:

I have renamed this newsletter to "theMandolinTuner Journal". The idea occurred to me after receiving an e-mail from one of theMandolinTuner community members, Geoff Iliff. Geoff is not a mandolin player, but a finger-picking acoustic guitarist that learned about theMandolinTuner from Richard Morgan, the innovative Australian mandolin maker that is writing guest articles for theMandolinTuner, (you can read Richard's articles "A Luthier's Journey" here).

So, I received from Geoff a nice e-mail thanking me for including him in the circulation of theMandolinTuner magazine Wait a minute! Magazine? It was then I realised the similarity of this series of e-mails to an on-line magazine.

Why not give it a try? I quickly decided to rename this newsletter from "Weekly Roundup" to "Journal", and also to number the e-mails just like magazine issues are numbered, in order to help readers keep track of them. I hope you like this change, but in any case you shouldn't worry, as the content of the newsletter is not going to change; it is only going to become even better!

So, here it is, and I hope you enjoy it!
