In this series of articles I will try to record my knowledge but also gather info from other sources and create guides to help you understand mandolin related terms and glossary. The first article is about tone woods used to make mandolins.

...breaking news from Marilynn Mair announcing the release of a new CD named “Madrugada”. This is a new recording of Brazilian music style, performed with style and influenced from classical and jazz.
...an inspiring video performance by Jacob Reuven of Albeniz masterpiece, Asturias has been added in the video library. The orchestra is excellent and the result is unique and very beautiful.
...an excellent arrangement by lev haimovich of Isaac Albeniz masterpiece, Aturias, performed with sensitivity by the Kerman Mandolin Quartet live at the Lunel mandolin festival in 2012 has been added in the video library.
